Hotel Finlanka

Exceptional experience and service, the staff went above and beyond to get us comfortable. Our stay was amazing to say the least. From the food, to the rooms, to the facilities, I definitely recommend staying here for your travels to Hikkaduwa.

The owner and staff were so lovely and very caring towards us . The property was clean and central to hikkaduwa.

The room was nice and big and very clean. It even had a fridge and an extra sink. The outside area had a nice pool and a lovely vibe. The breakfast was nice, a combination of western and srilankan. The staff were all very very friendly. The location was also good, close to everything.

Our room was close to the railway, so the sound of the trains was quite loud, but it was no problem really.

Excellent staff nothing was a problem even did our washing.owner/manager Synjar very happy and accommodating even had our money changed at a better rate. Breakfast more than happy with.

The train a little noisy but you get used to it.

The owner was very professional and kind. He wanted to make sure we’re taken good care of. The ambiance in this place is very comforting. Room was huge. It’s not the newest room, but really great value for the money. Turtle beach was very near and you can watch the baby turtles going into the water- it’s usually around 6 pm. There was lots of fresh fruits in the breakfast, coffee was good too. I also got freshly cooked omelette. There was a small parking just opposite the hotel which is a big advantage as most of the places in this area do t have parking. I’d gladly stay in Finlanka again!

Minor issue was the ants, but as the place is surrounded by trees and plants I guess that’s unavoidable.

The family at Finlanka were incredible during our stay. Great location and the Sri Lankan breakfast was the best food we had in Sri Lanka.

The one thing I would mention is bring earplugs, the train can be a little noisy.

Great value for money and excellent service! Breakfast is sublime!
