The location was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful

The room was disappointing, the window felt like people could see in so had to keep curtains closed. The water in the shower wasn't consistent, kept going hot then cold. And we had many steps to climb to get to our room which wasn't great as I am waiting for a knee op. We were there in 2005 and I think it was better then . Sorry to be so negative but you did ask

"Lovely hotel in a great location for visiting the Scilly Isles"

All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The room and public areas were very comfortable and dog friendly. Menu choices were substantial and food delicious, well presented and cooked.

There are a lot of stairs to many of the bedrooms so you need to be quite mobile to reach some of the upper floor rooms as there is no lift
