Hotel The Silk Route

The building, the room and the roof terrace all made in sand stone are amazing. The position is good, quiet area at just 5 minutes walking to the city restuarant. Big and clean bathroom with good shower. Owner really nice and helpful.

The hotel staff was truly exceptional, very polite and service minded! The rooms were so cozy with an amazing interior! They arranged a great non-touristic Camel Safari in the desert, with food, history lessons and good company!

We forgot the name of our guy that hosted us during our stay, but he is the best! One of us was really ill and he got us all the cold waters and soda we needed whenever we asked, cooked all of our meals, gave great advice on Jaisalmer and was just so genuinely kind and funny! He made our trip great & deserves great recognition from the owners. The terrace was amazing, best view ever. We went in peak summer when no one really was around & it was really too hot to be outside a lot but our room was cold the whole time. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough 10/10!

Nothing, everything was great

The staff are amazing, we had a late train coming in that was delayed til after midnight and they still made checking in a breeze. The views on the terrace are stunning and you can eat all your meals up there! The room stays nice and cool in the heat of the day and looks beautiful with the local architecture. Even dropped us off at the train station on check out which saved alot of hassle to end our trip.

Best place we stayed while traveling in India. The hotel and the rooms are beautiful and clean. The food is delicious. The rooftop has the most beatiful view of the fort. The owner and the staff members were really nice to us and gave us a lot of interesting informations. We loved everything about the hotel.

The hotel is a bit far away from the fort, but It is a walking distance. We were looking for some place calm to relax, so It wasn't an issue.

It's not their fault, but the road to the back of the hotel and the path down to the main road are very rough.

Our room was so lovely. Clean, great view, new air con, spacious. The staff were all great and helpful and there was always someone there. Laundry service very good and quick. Good available at all times. Guman picked us up late from the station which was great. And we arranged our desert jeep/camel safari through him which was really good fun and very worthwhile. The walk up to the hotel has been mentioned in other comments - it’s really not that bad at all, just a little dirty but it’s safe and the kids just want to say hi.
