Very welcoming nature of the owner, staff is very supportive and caring, must stay here

Good location inside the fort.Easy to explore around. The rooftop has incredible views around and is beautiful at sunrise and sunset. They have a good chef and he cooks good home cooked food.

The double room was small and nonwhere to hang anything. also the sockets are really high up with no extension lead making cahrging anything difficult.

Location is perfect with fabulous rooftop terrace with 2 levels, right on top of the old fort walls with view over the city. Terrace is much nicer than most of the other terraces around. Food is delicious and more or less reasonable priced for this very touristic city. For the view and the atmosphere we would book again, but next time be prepared what to expect.

Only reachable by Tuk Tuk, Hotel claimed to have pick-up service, but we had to pay the Tuk Tuk ourselves (and of course the driver did not have any change, what a surprise). Staff lies regarding beer prices, they will tell you 250, but charge you 350 rupees upon check-out. Demand to pay right after finishing your dinner, otherwise they will postpone the food bill until check-out and charge you more. Staff (the children) is really nice and friendly. Booking.com price changed during our visit and upon check-out we suddenly had to pay 600 rupees more. They do not provide a box for the tip, better give the tip to the children right away, we did not trust the boss to fairly distribute the tip. Rooms were quite dirty, big chunks of dust everywhere and stains on the sheets, buckets in bathroom (for toilet paper) open with not lid and no bag and very little toilet paper provided. Hotel only accepts cash, so make sure to bring some, other guests had to run to ATM‘s to pay.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Location great. Balcony in room gave great vies of sun rise. Rooftop restaurant - great views over city and good food.. great location in Fort.

This hotel is great! Facilities are old but well kept, bathroom is very spacious. Bed is comfy enough. Staff is super friendly. Location cannot be beaten, this is super central and inside the Jaisalmer fort. Restaurant was really really good - although a tad overpriced (even for Jaisalmer Fort) Pick up from the airport was an OK deal. Very convenient, but as we traveled further into India, I realize we might have overpaid a little bit.

I booked a room with a balcony, but what the room had I wouldn't call a balcony. It was a small place with 270 degrees windows that protruded out of the room.

Lovely welcome, staff (Bhanu and everyone) were extremely friendly, extremely kind and couldn't do enough for us. Location was amazing inside the fort with wonderful south easterly views over the city. Room was clean with beautiful juliet sitting balcony- perfect for warching the sunrise and evening reflection/relaxation.

Bathroom could have been a little cleaner but nothing major (still one of the cleanest bathrooms in rajasthan so don't let that put you off!)

We LOVED our stay at Hotel The Surya! Staying inside the fort with a beautiful balcony area to sit and watch the sunrise over Jaisalmer was really an amazing and unique experience. The staff were super lovely and always will to go above and beyond. We have most if not all of our meals at the rooftop restaurant which was fairly priced and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The room was spacious, clean and super comfortable. We booked an overnight desert camp with them which was awesome and they were helpful and respectful when we expressed our wishes not to have a camel ride included. its an amazing central location for exploring the town- highly recommend.

Overall good..but the to & fro conveyance charges should be paid by hotel..they only paid at the time of arrival..my suggestion.. Maharaja thali was too good...but Chinese dish was not upto the mark..
