Filthy dated Was told there guest since COVID preferred not to have there rooms cleaned.and entering there rooms seriously what a joke .we had a very large dirty rim round the bath I a guess would definitely liked it cleaned large crack in hand basin.bath panel someone tried painting it what a mess the ceiling was patched The TV did not work curtains hanging off the windows were filthy no handle on wardrobe Sweet wrappers on floor dirty tee shirt in drawer The bedding was a dingy grey no mattress or pillow protector pillow stained WHY would your guess want to be happier in a room that you cannot be bothered to pay a cleaner The staff in restaurant were extremely friendly the food was good The toilets in the ballroom should be closed down absolutely filthy the floor in toilet was a liability All the entertainer were really good did a good show But to clearly sit and watch someone vaping in there and all staff turning a blind eye clearly should not be happening The only thing the hotel is fit for is to be turned into a prison cause trust me no one would re offend for fear of being sent back

The Risboro hotel is a budget hotel in Llandudno only 5 minutes from the Llandudno seafront and is handily located for the town centre and attractions such as the Great Orme Tramway. The staff are very friendly and go that extra mile and nothing is too much bother. The meals were very good, well presented and flavoursome. The entertainment was very enjoyable. Although there were some minor issues with our room, they pale into insignificance when compared to the rest of our experience and we would stay there again.

Where do you begin. Hastily booked based on the Tripadvisor top review and the hotel pictures of a spa. When read all the reviews it became apparent all was not as it seemed. We were booking using a Buy a gift voucher for 2 nights for 2 Hotel Break. The voucher itself is a bit of a rip off as it really is just a money off voucher. Out of over 4000 English hotels on the Buyagift list (which you only find out after you have bought voucher) only 100 came anywhere near the price.. We ended up paying an additional £34.on top of the voucher price. Only good thing about there vouchers is thay can be changed for other things. Anyway my wife packed our swimming gear, pillow cases and sheets. So we kept the bar low with the hope it wouldnt be as bad as other reviews. In short the other poor reviews are fairly accurate although its what you make of a tired run down hotel that has seen better days . The outside of the building is struggling with slates missing and gutter hanging off, concrete spalling above some windows (huge expense to put scaffold around.) Some reviews complain of it being smelly when you walk in but that wasnt that apparent. The reception is dated with a notice comparing the cost of other Llandudno hotels. Took the lift that isnt level with the ground floor..not really a problem.. 2nd floor side room decent view of the Orme through a couple of windows the other was dirty and couldnt see through. One window held closed by a piece of bent wire, a danger hazard for kids standing on the window board. Toilet cistern was new but six inches from wall so loo rocked, bath sealant poor mouldy condition, a spa bath had jets missing. Wall paper on ceiling was bubbled from i guess was a roof leak .Sink had big crack badly siliconed over..Duvets and pillows obviously seen better days but did look clean. The two way switch for main bedroom light was behind the pillow. With lights out and just table lamp on the ambience was slight improvement. The stair nearly proved my undoing and it was only a piece of metal handrail that had been added above the original that I managed to hook my arm under preventing me from falling down a flight. Ok my fault. Staff were ok but got the impression they were on a damage limitation exercise. Breakfast was ok self service juices, cereals (didnt see fruit options) toast and hot drinks (the coffee was not brilliant ) Staff friendly and served us cooked breakfast quickly but were equally quick to to take finished plates before we had all finished. Breakfast was in a large school type dining room with dated decor. We popped in to see the entertainment on the Friday and Saturday evening in the basement ball room, that was ok if its your thing..Two coach trips were in mainly elderly..Checked ourselves out as no receptionist so added room number to a handwritten list on reception that actually seemed to be a list of issues "no hot water" in one room. The spa...waiting on staff were hesitant and one said they didnt know where it was the other was they thought it was broke. This was the most deceptive thing that trumped the other issues. See photo of advertised spa and the actual spa we found and photoed through window. If you want a cheap place to stay and get your head down after a few beers with an ok breakfast and arent bothered by the bad points listed by other reviewers then no problem. Not really a romantic place. Good location, there is a big run down parking area at the back (mind the cat crap) and the adjacent closed hotel also has parking area. Shout out to the Snowdon Pub just around the corner... The hotel is obviously in a tired condition and needing lots of investment and a potential maintenance money pit, Money cant be made from the low budget prices they can only charge..but at least they are employing some staff.. Dont know why places like this dont offer free board and lodgings to someone who could do some of the minor repairs..

Do yourself a favour and AVOID!!! Filthy Hotel, Disgusting bathroom and Dirty bedroom.... Stayed for 1 hour and felt that we needed disinfecting on leaving. Room Smelt equally of smoke and Urine!!! We would have complained directly to the staff if they were anywhere to be seen. Go to the travel Lodge instead, Beautifully clean and smells fresh

The only good thing about this place was the staff. Friendly and helpful. We looked at 3 rooms and it just went from bad to horrific. Duvets are threadbare and ripped and too big for the covers on them. They looked like they was 20 years old. As did the furniture. Pillows not much better. Black mold on the ceilings. We asked for a full refund so we could go elsewhere. There was no argument from management.

Arrived at 15.20 A female staff member was sat on the hotel steps smoking & having a heated discussion with someone on her mobile phone. The steps leading up to the hotel were strewn with cigarette butts & the net curtains at the windows looked grimy. No one at reception & a sign stated ring the bell for attention, no bell. Found an individual who was not over happy at being called away from the bar, said it was difficult trying to be in 2 places at once. Asked to see the room, told that the room would still be a tip & we could have access at 4pm. Foyer was rank smelling with cigarette fumes & staleness, so we left & found somewhere else to stay. Save your money. At least Fawlty Towers looked clean. The other reviews were similar to mine, did not think the place could be so dire as the reviews stated, but oh yes it sure was.

Nice hotel but feel that hotel should let people used cash not debt card all the time but I can't wait to come back next year. I want to get a drink at the bar I didn't have my card with me . I own take cash with me on travel .and can't wait to come back

Well we didn't have high hopes of the place from the reviews but needed somewhere last minute- there is a reason this hotel is not booked up! On arrival we were told there is 'free parking' this is a lie, there are 3 parking spaces behind the hotel- 2 of which are taken up by staff. We went to check in only to be told the room wasn't ready as was the same for everyone else checking in. We waited over an hour (!!!) Past check in to then be told our family room we had booked the 'keys were locked in the room' so would we have 2 twin rooms that were 'next door'instead. We said yes as what choice did we have? Turns out the 2 rooms were down the corridor ans round the corner, not next door at all. And the one room STILL hadn't been cleaned. Dirty bedding and bed that had a Crater in the middle ans stains on the mattress and used towels on the floor. The other room had apparently been cleaned but had rubbish still in thr bin and had clearly just had a spray of air freshener around. The cupboard door was hanging off the hinges and the furniture was battered and dated. The curtain had holes in. It was not worth the money if we had spent £50 you'd think you get waht you pay for but this room was £150 !!!! Avoid!!!!! You can get much nicer places. We checked straight back out as it was untidy, dated and we wouldn't of felt comfortable staying there.

Scruffy facade ,overgrown weeds dated decor inside double room very small bedding very poor quality window unable to close due to missing catch sign on window stated to be kept closed macerate toilet noisy note on door stating no wipes ext not to be put down toilet but no bin provided sink in bedroom cracked tv n only 2channels bed not hotel standard.
