Risboro Hotel

Okay well yes very dated, and we were told we couldn't check in until 16.00, so we checked in at 16.00 no one at front desk, rang the bell several times, no one arrived until 15 minutes later. The place is very dated and not that clean, and I went to sit on the bed, the bed moved and I nearly ended up on the floor. With what you pay a night to stay is good but they make up in there bar. Larger shandy and 2 bottles of bud £14.50, is a lot. I know they got to claw money back but that price for drinks is mad. The shandy was all lemonade and a top of larger, not impressed with price. Not fussed with dogs everywhere they were so cute, breakfast was great plenty of choice, all staff were friendly. The entertainment was great, a lot of fun, and everybody made you feel welcome. I will be back, yes dated & not that clean, but I had a bed even though it moved, clean sheets and bathroom, and free entertainment, you really can't complain.

Very dog friendly and less than 5 minutes to the centre of Llandudno. Had a great time.

We had a great stay. Only one plug socket in room ,the bed was rockery, the toilet was very noisy when flushed. Entertainment were brilliant and so was the breakfast. Will stay again

This hotel is beyond dirty, hot soapy water and elbow grease followed by a dam good hoover would make all the difference. The mattress on the bed was years and years old and why grey bedding???? White CLEAN bedding makes a hotel surely. Needs so much investment. On the plus side food was good and staff were great. Dogs welcome too, all over the settees that we would sit on hence covered in dog hairs. Never again

Hotel is very dated and old fashioned, it wasn’t dirty, but due to how dated and worn out furniture, carpets, overall decor was, there was a feeling of it not being clean either. Breakfast was good, staff were friendly, check in could have been better, they made us wait until dead on 4pm, but to be fair check in is at 4pm, but then a queue formed as the staff member went missing until 4.20pm, then our room wasn’t ready, but these things happen. I would stay again for a cheap and cheerful night in Llandudno

Mould around the bath. Broken sink. Broken mirror in the room. Wallpaper on the ceiling beginning to fall off. Beds were soft and clean . If we wasn't so late checking in we would have driven 150 miles home. Won't stay again. They may have better rooms far too expensive for what we experienced.

Staff were very friendly, night time entertainment was excellent, hotel in need of upgrade and needs a good clean.

Property is tired and dated but we appreciate this would be very expensive to renovate. The booking site advises that rooms are basic so we knew to expect this. Having said that I cannot fault the service from the staff, Louise in particular is very attentive. The food is very good and plentiful. The entertainment is excellent and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Risboro is an old hotel and the owners make no pretences about it's slightly tired appearance and condition. It is a budget hotel with friendy staff and a very good cooked breakfast. My room was clean, comfortable and all the services worked, including the central heating. It's excellent value for money and better than very many I've stayed in for more than double the tariff. Yes, I would be happy to stay there again, despite the minor shortcomings.
