Not much good to say as we didn’t stay here

No air conditioning, I’ve never been in a place that is so hot in my whole life fan provided was awful people that were staying from our wedding group even brought there own fans so that they could stay there.

Evening restaurant staff were superb. Food was good, property a mess.

I want to stress, this review is in no way a reflection of the evening restaurant staff. The waitress who looked after us was absolutely superb and the food was good, however: Overnight stay on way back from France. I think its fair to say, based on the prices on the menu, Miller and Carter see themselves as a semi premium brand, and have certainly tried to lift and seperate themselves away from the typical "pub grub" venue. Our food was good, the service exceptional. The room was OK, very large, but couldn't sleep due to heat- current heatwave not their fault!- No air con, but 2 fans that barely worked. My issue isn't with any of this. The problem is, the property basically looks to be in a state of dis-repair. I appreciate refurbishment would be upwards of 500k, but had the property had annual maintenance, it would not look as poor. Rotten windows and wood everywhere. Images show extent of degradation from inside room and out. This can't be a listed building, so no excuse really. Inside, literally layer upon layer of gloss to try and hold rotten windows and cills together. For a brand that would want to give a better perception and experience than it's "poorer" sister brand, an absolute mess and certainly spoils the experience of spending £80+ on a steak. I use Miller and Carter all over the country for entertaining clients. I doubt that will continue, if this is what the company is going to allow their venues to become. Real shame. Bill for 4 dining was £310, plus £223 for two rooms- no air con and rotten woodwork everywhere in both rooms/ dirty shower. Went down for breakfast and had to ask cleaner if she could let us sit down- no one about. Toasted sour dough missing, no tomato's when food arrived. Dead insects in fresh orange. I won't go on..... Suggest you avoid. Very disappointed repeat brand customer, now going to be using other steak houses. All this from someone who only leaves positive reviews!

Room was ready and clean except for some yellowing around the toilet which was not a good impression on the rest of the room. The light in the bathroom had an annoying flicker. Bed was firm but as it was a very hot 4 days the A/C was great.

Some areas in the corridor and bedrooms good do with some update , carpets etc

Gute Lage am Rand von Maidstone, ca. 15 Gehminuten ins Stadtzentrum. Kostenfreier Parkplatz am Haus.

Zum Frühstück wurden erstaunlicherweise keine Cerealien angeboten. Das englische Frühstück war aber sonst sehr viel und gut.
