Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt

Very happy with the stay at Andaaz Delhi. Great location, staff, service, modern rooms, good restaurants, proximity to Aerocity restaurants and offices. However, if you are sharing the room with another person, the lack of privacy with the design of the bathroom and toilet spaces might be an issue.

I did not recieve any benefits of being a GLOBALIST. The room did not even have fruits or munchies. When I called for fruits, the lady from guest services asked me to contact room service and connected me to room service. nobody picked up the call. I called guest services again and expressly told her that I'm a Globalist upon which she said that she will check house keeping. neither did I hear from her nor did I get the fruits.

The staff / management are very inflexible when it comes to check in / check out timings + flight changes. Given that it it close to the Delhi airport and most people go there in between transits, the rigidity doesn't help.

Liked the overall experience. Rooms are spacious, breakfast spread is great and the IRD options are also aplenty. At the heart of aerocity.

Overall I was not that impressed. I usually like Hyatt hotels around the world. This one felt unwelcoming, sterile, uninteresting. The lobby felt like an airport or something - uncomfortable and dull. Overly minimalist, nowhere comfy or inviting to hang out. The outdoor and pool areas were under construction or something and were unpleasant. We couldn't find a place to eat easily and when we did find a restaurant it was not pleasant, felt like a cafeteria, so we ordered room service. We got very bad food poisoning which may have coloured my opinion of the hotel - it's hard to have a positive impression of a place where you've been so unwell! Room and bed and bathroom were nice enough but not as good as other 5 star hotels. For example, poor quality slippers...

It was overpriced for the quality - other 5 star hotels near the airport are far superior. I can't say for sure that it was the food here that gave us serious food poisoning- but you know that gut feeling? Yeah - it's my gut feeling that is was. Overall Hyatt left a bad taste in the mouth on this stay. I won't be coming back.
