"Very run down rooms..not worth £130 a night stay"

A bathroom window that you could open...was painted shut..and could smell the drains !!

The staff were so hospitable, I felt very looked after. The place was super clean and well presented. Perfect location. Excellent value for money.

"Disgusting and expensive - avoid"

Location wasn't bad

Everything - tacky, unkempt, dilapidated, filthy and certainly not worth the asking price. In fact I would recommend people go to a travelodge or premier its cleaner and cheaper.

"Disappointing"

The location is good.

The shared bathroom is dilapidated. The traffic noise makes it hard to sleep. Needs better windows and soundproofing. Room was very hot and stifling.

A perfect stay for a solo traveller. Very helpful and friendly staff. A decent choice for breakfast, wish I'd asked for poached eggs, they looked really good at the table next to me! Nice street view from my room. Loved it all.

Would be good to have hooks on the wall next to the shower, but I did mention that when I left. ;-)

"Worse hotel experience for many years would not recommend!"

It was well located. The cooked breakfast was very good.

The bedroom was very small with no bedside cabinets. On arrival our tea/coffee cups were not clean and there were limited supplies of tea and coffee. The staff did not know where to find extra supplies. We were left overnight without access to a hot drink. The room was not serviced on the first day. After a change of staff things got sorted.

"Acceptable place in a lovely village"

Really nice staff- very friendly and helpful. The location is great, you are in the heart of a lovely village. The building is charming, as are the village and the castle.

The bathroom is outside of the room and it is ancient. The whole place is not only old but a bit crumbling. The check in is till 20:00 so if you are landing later, forget it. If you opt for breakfast, don't choose the sandwich. Bare unedible bread and bacon, not a hint of anything green. The price should be 30% lower.
