The hermitage inn

Great pub, handy location, comfortable. Shared bathroom arrangement worked out well. Staff were accommodating and welcoming. Breakfast was spot on, and pub grub fitted the bill for me.

Was noisier than I expected, mainly from the traffic. Noise from pub didn't disturb. There was no chair in the room, which would have been handy though it probably would've been cramped.

Lovely warm smile on entry from Kenzie/McKenzie, didn't quite catch her name, was a little confusion over the booking initially but swiftly resolved. The breakfast in the morning was superb, just a shame I had to dash and leave some of it. Free Wifi provided.

Can't be helped really but the pub doesn't have it's own car park. The music in the pub can be heard from the guest bedrooms and road noise is evident, fortunately, the village is quiet later in the evening. The Alnwick Castle room is next to the communal bathroom and you can hear the sink etc. through the wall.

Cameron and Liz were fantastic.
