Good location friendly staff good basic rooms

A little bit of attention to cleaning required lots of dust in extractor fan in bathroom mark in carpet right as you come in the door good supply of tea coffee etc but would be better in a basket felt guilty tipping them all out to use mugs and leaving them on the top Bed side lamp a little to dim to read by.

I would have preferred a room with an en-suite toilet.

The location was good and the room was comfortable.

The room and shared bathroom could have been more modern. We were unable to have breakfast as we were going on to Alnwick for a hike before breakfast started. An earlier breakfast time would be good or an option to be left a continental breakfast or snack especially as we had paid for breakfast but were unable to try it.

General ambience was good and made me feel comfortable. The pub food was excellent.

Cant think of anything negative to say about this one, it was all good.
