Bathroom needs an upgrade as do windows.

Early closing time

Friendly staff, helped with bags, great location and quiet. Very good value but it is basic with a shared bathroom so it's about what you'd expect. Check out is early at 10, especially as breakfast was late arriving, but they let me stay longer to get packed.

It's as expected for the price but as others have said the room is quite light but not really an issue unless you're used to black out blinds! The only other thing I'd say is my breakfast order was taken the night before, and I was asked to state a time. I asked for 9am but this wasn't passed to the kitchen and I had to re-order in the morning and then had to wait 45 minutes for it to arrive. This made me late to check out but they were fine with that. Not all channels available on TV. I tried auto tuning but it didn't improve it.

I had full English breakfast which was first class. Parking opposite the Hermitage was handy and all night free.

I did not sleep at all because of the continuous traffic throughout the night next to a busy road and the chiming of church bells every 15 minutes for a few hours. The only channel on the tv which did not have interference was BBC red button. The rest of the limited channels was impossible to watch. The showering area was a shared facility for the 5 rooms available away from guest rooms. There was only one other guest and I managed to get my showers when I wanted.

I prefer an en-suite bathroom

The accommodation was immaculately clean. The evening meal was excellent 👌 The staff were very polite.

There was no hot water in the room. The sink was eventually sorted out but not the shower. Breakfast was disappointing. There was no side lights in the room. We were given one from another room.
