Houndgate Townhouse

This is an excellent hotel, which also includes the Saltfish Restaurant. There is a lift between floors, which even someone like me who is often incompetent with machines can use. The breakfasts are very good, and there is never a feeling of being rushed.

Lovely hotel, fantastic room, excellent location. Delicious breakfest and friendly staff. Brilliant for our anniversary away.

No dedicated parking, but there's cheap options nearby!

Our second visit and just as good as our first visit. Fantastic Fish restaurant. Staff cannot do enough for you. Breakfasts were a special highlight and so varied. Will be back for a third visit no doubt!

The view of the multi-storey car park from Room No.1 - but then the Houndgate cannot do anything about that.

Big spacious rooms, beautiful bath and comfy bed. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and made fresh to order. Staff really friendly.

It was noisy but they provided ear plugs in each bedside table.

The location was very convenient, just 5 minutes walk from the station and close to the shops, bars and restaurants.

I had no complaints
