Es war wunderschön direkt am Meer gelegen. Man konnte durch den toll angelegten Hotelgarten direkt ans Wasser (Max. 50m) und dann direkt zum Schildkrötenstrand laufen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer und einem großen Balkon mit hochwertigen Sitzmöbeln. Das Zimmer war ganz toll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns so wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und es gab diverse Eierspeisen frisch zubereitet. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Alle sehr herzlich und der Manager Daniel sehr freundlich und professionell. Ich kann diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Sie ist ca. 5min vom Zentrum Unawatuna entfernt. Meiner Meinung nach die bessere Lage, da man etwas abseits vom Tourismus war und wenn man etwas Richtung Ortsausgang gelaufen ist, ca 5min vom Hotel war man an einem wunderschönen Strand an dem kaum Menschen waren, trotzdem zwei kleine Bars und eine Schaukel mit der man Richtung Meer schwingen konnte-so schön. Dankeschön an das Rockside Team für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt❤️

When booking or staying at Rockside Cabanas Hotel, it’s very important to remember that this is a 3-star hotel. From the moment we checked in until we left, everything felt like a small chaos, especially when it comes to the staff. The staff here feels like they’re from a completely different movie — they simply don’t know how to work with guests and are totally disorganized. There is no reception area. When we arrived to check in, they asked for our documents and then all the employees were just roaming around us in confusion. Nobody really explained anything, and communication was quite difficult. Their English is… hit or miss. We did not have breakfast included, but we wanted to know how much it would cost and under what conditions we could get it. We only managed to find out after speaking to the manager on the phone. For one of the days, I agreed with him that we wanted a Sri Lankan breakfast (you have to request this one day in advance). On the actual day — surprise! The staff had no idea about it, so we ended up having the regular breakfast instead. At the beach, one of the employees gave me a menu. I asked him to give me a few minutes to decide what I wanted, but he never came back to take the order — so we didn’t order anything at all. On the positive side, the room is big — really big. It has both a fan and air conditioning. The bathroom is decent, but there are a few areas that feel a bit dirty and clearly need better cleaning. The swimming pool looks very good and is well maintained. The garden area is also nice. The hotel is not very close to Unawatuna, but they can drive you there with their car (I actually recommend this). I also highly recommend going to Galle with their car — it’s a really nice experience. Otherwise, you can reach Unawatuna by tuk-tuk for around 300–400 LKR — don’t let drivers charge you more. This place could actually be a very nice stay if someone invested a bit in training the staff on how to properly interact with touris

Cabana e vicinanza turtle point

Il manager molto scorretto avevamo prenotato 3 gg di cabana ma ne abbiamo usufruito solo 1 notte nonostante che il manager ci avesse confermato la disponibilità anche su whatsapp

Byliśmy w chatce położonej w przepięknym, super zadbanym ogrodzie, z widokiem na ocean, do którego z chatki było jakieś 20m. Do tego leżaki i parasol przynależące do chatki. Super obsługa, wszyscy bardzo mili i przyjażni. Śniadania można zamówich do chatki bezpłatnie. Super taras, domek przestronny, ogromna łazienka.

Restauracja hotelowa powinna trochę popracować nad smakiem serwowanych potraw.

Schöne Unterkunft, direkt am Strand. Turtel-Beach direkt um die Ecke. Toller Pool und nettes Personal;

Direkt an Straße und Zug-Linie, daher leider sehr laut.

Clean. Very nice staff. It has a beautiful park and the rooms are nice and clean.

It is right on the beach, but the access to the beach is not comfortable and it is difficult to walk on the sharp rocks. However, 50-100 meters away is the beautiful turtle beach.

Option petit déj sri lankais typique, toujours sympa de changer de saveurs. L'hôtel donne direct sur la plage avec des tortues énormes très habituées aux touristes qui viennent picorer des feuilles d'algues prélevées sur les rochers au bord de l'eau.
