My Hill Eco Lodge

Very nice place to stay, beautiful view. Not easy to move around as access is trough boat.

Access trough boat only covered by the hotel once for the stay. Additional use of boat for different days is charged.

It has been a few months since my stay at My Hill Eco Lodge and I still dream about waking up to those views. The facilities are basic and the lodge itself is nothing fancy, but the location is stunning and there is nothing quite as peaceful as waking up to those views and have breakfast on the balcony or taking a boat ride at dawn to the lodge. I highly recommend!

Tiny little problem, the bathroom door didn't shut but we didn't tell anyone till last day so it was our fault

The property is located in a unique setting at the end of promontory on Lake Rohondo. The food served in the restaurant was generous and tasty.

I drove to the property which was a mistake. YOU SHOULD NEVER ATTEMPT TO DRIVE YOUR CAR TO THIS PROPERTY. The road is a very rough unsealed track - suitable only for high clearance 4WD vehicles. it’s a long, windy, rough road to the property. The best transport option is to take a boat from the Ruhengeri boat dock. The rooms are basic and very simple.

The site where the lodge is located is stunning. It takes a boat ride on the lake to reach the lodge. Beautiful. The room was very comfortable. The rooms are like individual small bungalows. The path between reception and the rooms is very cute. The sunrise in the morning is not to be missed. Make sure to go on the hike or the boat ride. The team was very helpful and welcoming.
