My Hill Eco Lodge

This place was independently recommended twice to us as a great place to stay. We are glad that we checked it out, as we had a truly wonderful trip! The lake views both from the rooms and the main lounge are outstanding! We stayed in a safari tent (with ensuite bathroom) was very comfortable. Gervais and the staff were wonderful and very helpful. You can get there by boat, Gervais can organize this.

This is my favorite lodge during my travel around Ruanda. Spacious and clean apartment with stunning view of the volcanoes and the lake. The sunset was amazing. Staff was very friendly and also the food was good. I arrived by motorbike. The road was beautiful and manageable. With a car I would rather take their ferry transfer.

- Amazing views over the lake Ruhondo - Quiet and very relaxed place ( we feel constantly that we are within the nature) - Tracks are within reach for a hike or a simple walk - Well maintained gardens

- Slightly overpriced - The room would benefit from a better isolation ( when it rains, insects can easily pass through the windows or underneath the door) - Cleaning. There is room to improve. Regardless the above, Gervais ( the owner) has done an impressive work at the Lodge. I hope he doesn't stop at this point.

Excellent location, great food and super friendly attentive staff..rough road to get there but its all part of the adventure and 100% worth it

Amazing place, quiet, with stunning views of the lake, a good atmosphere, good food, and kind staff. The owner has an inspiring story and he is very welcoming. We stayed in a large double room with lots of windows in front of the lake. Highly recommended!!

The way getting there by car is a total mass, choose to come with a boat from Musanze

the view, omg what a view on the 5 volcanoes and Lake Ruhondo!! also hired a traditional canoe with them to visit the surrounding islands which was amazing highly recommend staying at one of the lodges!

location is strategic and stunning, awesome view on the lake. the staff was kind and helpful also at sharing how to get to the structure, they suggested a shortcut using the boat instead of all the way down the road. peaceful and quite

there was basically no water to get a shower and the breakfast was a bit poor and essential
