My Hill Eco Lodge

Stunning location and an incredible experience travelling to My Hill Eco Lodge by boat. The staff are kind and welcoming, the food served was good, and the activities available to travellers allow you to make the most of your time visiting the Twin Lakes. As a solo traveller, I felt very comfortable there.

The road to the boating pier (around 4.5km) is very rocky and full of potholes. If you don't have a suitable car, this part of the journey will be a struggle.

I liked the serenity of the area and how considerate the owner was and his staff as well. Cleaning shoul dbe a room service thou and change of bedsheets should be daily

Wonderful lodge overlooking the lake and volcanoes. Staff is perfect and willing to help. The food was good, the rooms had balconies with stunning views. They do organise excursions in the region and boat trips. Lodge very safe and quiet. The road to the lodge is doable by a car, we did it on RAV4 there and back with no problems, despite roads are bad, but not that much bad. From main road its about 16 km to the lodge. We want to come back again.

Stayed for a few days with colleagues for a work retreat & needed strong wifi for international Zoom meetings & job tasks in multiple time zones -- great connectivity & only limited difficulty with Zoom meetings (no complaints as we were in a remote setting). I was assured that wifi was good for work, but owner might not have understood my needs. Wifi is turned off at night & router is locked up with manager, but I work remotely for companies outside of RW that require me to be available in the middle of the night. This complicated my busy schedule. On Night 2, wifi ran out which further complicated my work Good Stuff -- Location, staff & owner customer service, food, prices, quality of lodging (stay in the tents!!), local villagers, boat taxi service, views, weather, decor... basically everything was exceptional! There's even space to hold small events. I recommend My Hill Eco Lodge for work or play!

See above for wifi issues -- owner should invest in streaming wifi, not a data plan. There are limited local activities - not an issue for me as I was working, but my friends wanted to do more.
