The Mastodon Valley Safari Resort

- Nice accommodation for the price. - Very high standard for Sri Lanka - quiet surrounding - Clean rooms, friendly staff and a nice pool - Perfect for a visit at the Udawalawa National Park (they arrange a safari tour for you)

- Mosquito net would be great - I personally would prefer a Sri Lankan breakfast instead of the eggs with sausages - dinner was a bit expensive in comparison to other accommodations (2750LKR)

Dinusha the owner was very helpful, organised tours and tuk-tuks and our special dietary requirements. A very chilled location, great for bird watching and sitting by the pool watching the langurs play. A great place to chill.

The host and all the staff were incredible, even accomodating our late check in! I booked the safari through dinusha and it was amazing, me and my partner saw lots of elephants, crocodiles, tonnes of birds and many other animals. Location 10/10. Beautiful cabins with amazing garden, trees and pool.short scenic walk to the local shops. Loved our stay and will DEFINATLEY return

Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay here. This place was a real nice change to my other hotels. A real back to nature feel. Simple no frills but has everything you need. The food was Absolutely amazing and I tried more new foods here than anywhere else. The manager organised my safari that was also great. Overall I would recommend to anyone.

It’s a beautiful place, very close to Udawalawe safari park so very easy to arrange a tour! We saw many elephants and beautiful animals while we were there. The stafff are lovely at this hotel and will do the most to make you feel comfortable. The pool is amazing, and the nature here is gorgeous! The food was also great

Could do with more up to date electrical outlets but mostly it was fine :)
