The Mastodon Valley Safari Resort

Beautiful spacious log cabins , nice beds and clean bathroom. The staff were wonderful . The manager was very helpful sorting out an amazing safari for us during out stay. A request for coffee was met with staff taking our little table down to the river for coffee with a view

We stayed one night to go to Udawalawe National Park. When I opened my eyes in the morning, I could constantly hear the sounds of various animals, as if I had spent the night at the zoo. And although Sri Lankan food is delicious, the food here is uniquely delicious. You should not miss breakfast. Next time I come, this is a place where I want to stay for two nights and rest.

I wish the bathroom lighting was a little brighter. Please pay attention to cleaning the bathroom.

Cute place with swimming pool! Easy to book a safari through the host. They made us take away breakfast as we booked an early safari. Our driver didn’t speak English though, so it is recommended to pick up a guide at the entrance of the park.

It would’ve been nice if there were pillows for the sunbeds at the swimming pool. We told the host and she’ll take care of that. :)

The Resort is very beautiful & calm and the swimming pool also well maintained. There is very little lighting in the parking lot. It would be nice if the garden could be illuminated with more lights. It would be nice if there was some pipe music Breakfast was good, but it would have been added SriLankan menus then it will be nice to choose from there. there is no alarcate menus to choose some snacks & meals. Anyway Dinusha (The manager) was very pleasant and helpful, she always looked after all our needs. she is doing wonderful job. Cheers & Good Luck

Food & Beverage service is so delay

Pool, cabin, shower

Manageress . We messaged to ask for two single beds and got message back saying that was OK. When arrived, was double bed. They changed it but was told if we'd told them in advance it would have been done. Said we wanted to have lunch at 12.30 and was shown a menu. When we arrived at 12.30 was told only food available was rice and noodles. We were going on safari, so we had no time to go anywhere else, so asked for rice, eventually got it at 2pm. Was told WiFi available in all areas, including cabins, it was only available in restaurant and pool. Then manageress unplugged router to charge her laptop so no WiFi last evening and morning for us to arrange onward transport.

Have swimming pool and near the nature :) Staff are very helpful and very nice Lovely dinner and fruitful Using the local ingredients Manager are very nice cheerful and helpful

We stayed at this lovely place in the jungle for one night Dinusha the owner met us when we arrived She was really helpful and really looked after us and made us feel welcome. We had evening meal and breakfast which was delicious and freshly made. We would definitely return to this lovely place again Thank you so much Kind regards Ricky and Carolyn

Stand-alone huts around a lovely swimming pool. Good food, very friendly staff. Excellent value for money.

Dinusha is taking care of everything and is very friendly The resort is large in comparison to any other hotel i've seen so far in SL! The cottages are well built. I think if this place would get some more (deserved) attention, it could invest more into the smaller things and would become a pearl!
