Tien Hotel Georgetown

The location was great, really close to the sites and eateries. The staff we did interact with were friendly.

The air-conditioning unit was extremely loud and difficult to operate, with the controller often not working. When it rained, the sound on the corrugated roof in the terrace area made it difficult to sleep. There was some noise from the street, but this was expected given the location. When we booked, we were under the impression that the front desk would be manned in the evening, which wasn't the case, and it was difficult to get our bags down the stairs to the main entrance when we left early in the morning, as there was no one on the desk.

The sound from the pubs with loud music till 3 am is disturbing. There is a particular pub spinning DJ music with the front door opened is kinda weird.

staff were very helpful when they were present. location is good for old town. shower was strong.

they are not always present or reachable. room was not made daily. i wanted fresh towels but no one was around during the day to help. sound partition was poor. heard next room coughing all night.

the facilities are slightly worn - obvious stain on cushion, corner of wall with crack and pocket of water. pool looked big but actually just sufficient for 1 person to swim in be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs, no lift access

I cannot highlight anything positive about my stay.

My stay at this hotel was miserable. The worst hotel I have ever been to. Lots of dirt behind the beds (including a fork, a handkerchief and lots of dust), hair on the floor, the bathroom in very bad condition, towels with holes and the worst thing is that it had bedbugs. I couldn't spend even one night there.
