Great rooms, chill clientele, amid beautiful redwoods, excellent location walkable to town

Simply wonderful

Wonderful experience for our overnight stay. We were in Guerneville to see the Armstrong Woods. Our cabin was surrounded by large redwoods and the resort was immaculate. Well landscaped and quiet. Breakfast was served outside beside a nice fire pit. Staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend this resort.

This place is a beautiful retreat. Kathy at the front desk was very kind and welcoming. I will return! I loved morning breakfast at the fire pit. The pool was very nice. We met the owner at her restaurant Boon eatery which I highly recommend! The was my first time to Guerneville and it was very memorable.

We spent four amazing nights at this cool forest resort. The free breakfast is all farm to table organic fresh and we enjoyed relaxing by the lazy Russian River, including the local dining. We were just minutes away from the Armstrong Redwoods State Park, and many Sonoma Wineries.

the well manicured grounds, the pool area and well thought of cabins located near downtown but still felt far enough to feel secluded.

a few unpredicted mishaps, no fault of the property which was resolved expidiciously by its general manager, cathy.

Clean, simple, and restorative. Highlands is sited on the hill above the town so there is little, if any traffic or bar noise. The resort has everything that you need and nothing that you don't need (I would have liked a microwave in the cabin, but I enjoyed my stay, so I didn't NEED it) . I stayed mid week in August, so there were people around but folks were cool. Armstrong Redwoods State Park is close by. Salt Point State Park, a personal favorite, is about an hour away. Will plan my next trip.
