Highlands Resort - Adults Only

Fabulous cabins, great sun exposure (but shade if desired) and perfect continental breakfast. The staff couldn’t be friendlier! The only rub is dog related. Very dog friendly but there are only 3 dog cabins and $100 fee…pretty extreme for one night. There is literally zero additional cleaning involved and I doubt the cleaners get it anyway. Additionally, dogs can’t be left in the room unattended. I think a pet damage deposit would be more appropriate, but I don’t own the place. Will probably return but more likely to stay at a place without extreme dog costs/restrictions. Everything else as mentioned…fabulous!

Review for Highlands Resort – Adults Only I had a lovely and relaxing stay at Highlands Resort. The setting is peaceful, the grounds are well-maintained, and the atmosphere is perfect for a quiet getaway. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The only issue I experienced was with the Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, I was never able to connect from the cabin I was assigned, even after reporting the problem and being told the router had been reset. It wasn’t a major deal for a short retreat, but it’s something to be aware of if you need a reliable connection during your stay. Overall, I’d definitely return for the serenity and charm—just hoping the Wi-Fi is more consistent next time!

Such a wonderful place to spend your vacation time! We loved everything about the Highlands. The glamping tents are SO comfortable and spacious. The amenities offered with the tents were also really great. The property is beautiful and full of different nooks and places to sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. This property is also an easy walk into town so you never have to drive!

This place was perfect! I have absolutely zero complaints.

Everyone soOo nice. Decent cabins. Breakfast not fancy but ok and good AM coffee. Fire pit. Great price, close to town. Beautiful redwoods area!! Nice pool. Whats not to like!

I loved the proximity to town and the cabins and gardens were very pretty...

The staff member taking care of our reservation was a grouch! She was really short with me for opting out of the texting thread for some reason, and was extremely condescending. She seemed to be annoyed by our presence. We almost avoided the free breakfast the next morning because we were worried about seeing her again. Her attitude contributed to the general idea I have of the property that it seems stuffy and unwelcoming. Not the go-with-the -flow Russian River vibes I come to expect from hospitality in Guerneville.

My partner Mick and I stayed here at the end of March, and honestly—don’t even waste time looking at other places in Guerneville. This resort is an absolute 5-star gem! From the moment we stepped out of the car, we knew we were somewhere special. The landscaping is lush and beautifully maintained, the cabins are charming and spotless, and the pool and main resort area are pristine and inviting. Although it’s right in town, the property feels incredibly peaceful and secluded—just a short stroll to everything, yet it feels like a private oasis. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated to create a truly relaxing escape. Huge shoutout to our incredible hosts, Cathy, Julie, and Ashley—your warmth and hospitality made our stay even more memorable. We’re already dreaming about our next visit!
