"I didn’t stay because I felt scammed from false advertising."

1.0

The Temezcal was very hot, which was nice. But no showers around. If you do a mud bath, you then have to walk all the way back to your cabin to rinse off. Ridiculous.

FALSE ADVERTISING! This place is in high altitude in the mountains. very cold!. They don’t have hot springs, they are cold pools. It was freezing, even the workers were huddled around a fire but they charge 80 pesos for you to have a fire in your cabin . The cabins were cute & simple. The staff were young and most were kind. I left under 24 hour’s because I was so uncomfortable there. Not a spa like environment at all! They were not willing to give me a refund even tho I was overcharged. I honestly feel scammed. I saw many groups of people pull in, feel how cold the pools were and leave. Not even Booking was willing to be accountable . I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE OR THIS STAY. It seems anyone can just list their place and call it a spa.

"Beautiful natural spa retreat in the mountains"

8.0

Located in the beautiful mountains of Michoacán, filled with big pine trees, cedars and many hotsprings. (so many, the region uses thermal electricity). Many birds and cooler weather at this higher elevation. Thermal mud, steam and rinse were fun and healing. Good size cabins, and an excellent group of young staff members to help out. The restaurant had a small menu of delicious food! Try the trout! Very relaxing and quiet retreat.

It was quite cool in the evening and the cabin was too cold for me (March 14). There are small fireplaces and you can purchase fuel to heat the cabin slightly, but it only lasts a few hours. No wifi in cabins.

"Awful."

2.0

The hot water in the shower.

Overpriced, poorly trained staff, charged for the heating in the room, charged for internet usage, awful food in the restaurant. There is huge potential in this site but little investment and shoddy facilities.

"Expensive and disappointing."

7.0

the location is in a beautiful area.

We stayed in December and the room was freezing. There wasn’t a fire place to heat up the cabin. there was some sort of “ethanol” fire thing that it’s more for decoration than for heating. Also the charge you around 120.00 pesos to turn it on and you have to wait until after 9 pm to turn it on. There’s not even a coffee maker or tea kettle to warm up. We left early in the morning because we couldn’t stand the cold. Absolutely not worth the price.

"Didn’t stay after we saw it"

1.0

It is in a pretty area. We didn’t go look at the cabins so they may have been nice but the rest turned us off so strongly we didn’t stay.

It looked like a construction site with chain link fence, a large gravel entry way with what looked like temporary buildings, a front lift moving mud around. The hot spring was only luke warm. A green pond that was not something any of us would get in. Phone service was spotty at best so we couldn’t communicate with them or with booking.
