The property is in a great location, in a close proximity to a sacred city with an access to a walking path around the lake. The room was large with comfortable beds and pillows, good shower. The food was delicious, we ate all our breakfasts and dinners at Lake Wave. Milan is a gem of a host, he helped us to organize the tours. Go by tuk tuk with Ajit, he will take you to places that you would not be able to see without him (Milan set it up for us)🙏

Great location next to the lake, the property has an amazing garden area and the family is incredibly welcoming. Milan is phenomenally knowledgeable about Anuradhapura and also the rest of Sri Lanka. We had everything we needed for our stay and more. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and both were some of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka.

Super nice host! We received a very friendly welcome and were looked after during our stay and Mum cooked excellent food. The hotel has a beautiful location right on the lake and you can have a great meal in the garden with a view of the lake. A little oasis!

The room was absolutely fine for the price! However, it still has a lot of potential and would benefit from renovation. Nevertheless, recommended!

The host was wonderfully helpful, helped to arrange a tour around the main attractions or took us himself. It was raining in the evening so we stayed in and had a nice sit down talking local specialties, fruits, culture, etc. They prepared very good food, just talk to them and say what you would like to try. You will not be disappointed.

Staff is super friendly and welcoming - they help you with everything you may need. The owner also takes you to a beautiful tour in the stunning surroundings if you ask him :-) Located just by the lake, we could relax in the hammock right in the garden. With some great coffee! Also, the cook is superb. He prepared great (vegan) food for us - the breadfruit was amazing.

We stayed just 2 Nights at Milan's little Oasis, but it was enough time to become good friends. Milan  spent a lot of effort to make our stay in Anuradhapura as comfortable and interesting as possible. His Garden in front of the lake is so beautiful. You can rent bicycles at his place and he will give you a map with many sightseeing options. The chef at his place is an amazing cook. My friend is vegan and he prepared us a delicious vegan dinner. He offered us an extra private tour by night, based on his favourite religious places in Anuradhapura, with a lot of information about its history and Buddhism.This tour was really unique and I highly recommend it. The owners are very nice and helpfull. They provide delicious meals. The bikes that are available for rent are really good. Spacious room and nice garden with seats.

Peaceful homestay by the lake that feels like home ! Very good location as well with restaurants nearby. Milan and his family made our time in Anuradhapura a perfect moment. Milan has been very helpful, explaining and arranging everything for us (pick up, tours...). His mother cooks the best food for dinner and breakfast. The room was all we needed and the garden was beautiful, full of plants taken care of by Milan's sweet wife. Highly recommended !!!
