I loved that it was close to the airport, but still on the water.

Excellent breakfast. The waiters were wonderful. All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything we wanted to ask. Beautiful gardens.

Very expensive.

If this place was 2/3 cheaper it would be worth it. Grossly overpriced. Nice grounds, pool and staff, but the beach is not nice. Internet is VERY spotty and slow. Food is really expensive for mediocre quality. Honestly, I’m surprised by all the glowing reviews. Stayed only overnight to catch a flight the next day and we decided to leave for the airport early and have breakfast there because of the expensive/mediocre food at this hotel.

We were lucky in that we had the hotel pretty much to oursleves, so we were made to feel very special. The staff were lovely, the property was beautiful and the location was perfect

Had two rooms booked. And they would not refund the second book room. Be careful I would never book from them again.

Talk to the resort a number of times to get my second room cancelled they would not respond.

I booked on Booking.com. There was an error with my booking and somehow I was booked for two rooms. They charged me for both rooms. Be very careful booking from Booking.com and from booking from this property. This property would not refund my second room.

Disappointing experience, specially as we were there a year ago (and many times in the past) and everything went smoothly. The hotel has a great location and nice rooms, but the services were not up to par this time. -Food portions are small and very expensive. We ordered pizza from the menu the first night, they weren’t serving it. So, we ordered the Vegetarian Ceviche which was a mere few and small portions of vegetables. Very disappointing. Also, they served a pineapple juice that was made with fruit that had gone bad. -We were expecting the included breakfast to be a buffet (like always in the past). But they announced that given the low occupancy, it was to be à la carte. When the dishes arrived, another disappointment at the size of portions. And the place was full of families! What happened to not having a buffet due to low occupancy?! Which of course is not the guest’s problem. We ordered the pancakes which were supposed to have bananas and strawberries… we got three small slices of banana and the same for strawberry. -Front desk personnel was lacking in offered services and tours knowledge. They need more training. -Service was very very slow in the restaurant. And the list goes on… The only one good thing was the ever friendly staff, always willing to help. Attention Genius rewards guests: they will not apply the 10% discount on food and drinks!! Front desk personnel did not acknowledge the benefit in spite of being there stated on the booking.com reservation.

Nice garden around the hotel and the beach is close

Breakfast is extra poor. Water in swimming pool dirty. On the pool wall old green algae. Food from the restaurant is expensive and terrible. Service is slow. We were 4 in a room and we got only 2 towels. During the day no towels for the pool/beach. We spoke with the management several times during our stay. I do not understand how people could rate this hotel so high…. probably they had another management. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in a Costa Rica and also the worst hotel we stayed. In the morning we reported the bad water condition and then they stopped the water recalculation and started to do the general pool cleaning – with kids I the pool. In the restaurant you could see only the disappointed faced when. If you anyway decide to go, please be aware of the falling roof tile from the restaurant to the sidewalk. Hotel has a great potential but with this management your holiday will interrupted. Special when you compare how much you pay and what you get. On the teras metal iron stick are stand out of the concrete. I promised to my family we will go to the ice hotel for the holiday. I took the most expense hotel in a region and on the end, we got big disappointment. Close this hotel. Repair the things. Change the management. Open the hotel again.
