Papagayo Golden Palms Beachfront Hotel

Beautiful gardens. Great food and staff was very attentive.

The high tides made it difficult to walk on the beach certain times of day.

Everything about this property was great.

The pool is amazing (though the hot tub in the middle isn’t hot). The beds are comfy.

The front desk isn’t staffed at night, there’s just a roaming security guard. Happy hour times are wrong on the “app” they encourage you to use. Drink prices are pretty steep outside of happy hour. Service is terribly slow. Breakfast is atrocious.

Incredible location next to a near deserted beach and amazing wildlife. There were armadillos, howler monkeys, iguanas and a huge variety of birds within the hotel compound.

This is a gem of a property. The people were unbelievably nice and very helpful. Pool area is delightful except the chairs are so uncomfortable. The grounds around the hotel were amazingly beautiful and the howler monkeys and other wildlife were great.

The beach is definitely not the best part of this resort. You probably want to walk over to one of the other beaches. The chairs around the pool (and near the beach) were very uncomfortable. If you don't have a car, this hotel is very isolated.
