Breakfast could be better

The location was great. Nearby everything that is to do in Aonang, near the beach, shops, restaurants, longtail ticket office to go to the Islands. When we booked we've already asked for a room at the quiet side of the hotel with a nice view, so we were happy when we arrived we had a room on the 4th floor with a view to the forest where we could see squirrels and monkey's. Across the hotel there is good restaurant, people often wait outside to eat here. It is cheap and good, the name is Family restaurant. We ate often at Mama kitchen restaurant, it was a 20 minute walk towards and past the mosque. Very good restaurant and cheap and a very friendly owner. Breakfast in the hotel was less, cost 200 Bath so you can better walk out the street to Cafe 8.98 at the corner to have a proper breakfast, they look expensive but go inside and you will see that they have good breakfast/food for good prices. On the main street towards the mosque and past the mosque we've rented a scooter from Mook Motorbike without giving our passports. We didn't want to give our passports because legally it is not allowed. We paid a deposit of 3000 Bath but it depends what kind of motorbike you rent for the heavy ones he want's your passport also. The scooter rent was 200 Bath for 24 hrs. In the main street you also find some bus stops for going to the nightmarket or to Krabi etc, costs 60 Bath one way. You can go most of the time with 10 people in it, the driver waits until all places are occupied. We rented a car for 2 days at Krabi JR Car Rent, the owner Joe brought the car to our hotel. We were very satisfied about the service, price and car.

The hotel cleaners. We stayed 12 nights in this hotel. By hanging a card on your door you can let them know that you would like your room cleaned. Our experience was that after 6 days I noticed that if you wish that they come to clean, they do a little bit of sweeping the floor and making the bed but they didn't change the bedding so I had to tell them! They also never cleaned the toilet bowl, only the seat. It is a fairly new hotel but with this bad cleaning I wonder what the hotel will look like in a few years.

Great stay, lovely hotel, fab location, modern and clean. Great pool. Stay here and you won't be disappointed.
