Sojourn at DuPont Place

Location was good

No humans anywhere- the room did not have the WiFi password, needed to text to get the information because there was no staff

The room is clearly an un-rentable basement apartment that has been turned into a faux-hotel room. It is loud (you hear every movement of the people upstairs), the windows have a view of the garbage dumpsters, the wifi barely works, the power outlets are inconveniently located, and the shelves are poorly mounted on the walls and don't appear to be able to actually support weight.

The location was excellent and upon first impression, the room was nice.

They do not have staff coming to clean the rooms like a regular hotel, so you do not get fresh sheets, towels or garbage pickup at all throughout your stay. The Wi-Fi was very unreliable, and was frequently unable to load the streaming services on the TV or would cut out. The walls are thin and I swear my upstairs neighbors were dropping bowling balls in the middle of the night. The worst part was that there was a giant ice block in the freezer of the mini-fridge, and for some reason on my first night there the ice block started melting. It created a large puddle on the carpet in front of the kitchenette. They had a handyman come look at it but no one did anything to improve the situation or offered any solution during my stay. By the second day, the room started to smell foul due to the water sitting on the carpet. I didn't have a choice but to deal with it. By the day of check out I was ecstatic to get out of that room.

Location was ideal. There's lots of places to eat nearby. Several coffee bars within 5 min walk. Hilton hotel is right across the street which is great if you have a conference to attend. Top floor was the best.
