"Een pareltje in Pondicherry"

Prachtig hotel in oud-koloniale stijl, enorm smaakvol ingericht. Het personeel is warm en gastvrij en stond altijd voor ons klaar. Het eten is heel goed; traditionele Indiase keuken maar ook hele goede Westerse gerechten.

"Pretentious boutique property with customer apathy"

Beautifully restored rooms with a lot of attention to detail.

The lighting in the room is poor. The cleanliness of the ro and basic amenities were only provided after raising it with the front desk. General upkeep of the property is not the best. Some artefacts shows signs of neglect. F&B: Breakfast options are limited to South Indian and eggs. Food is oily and average. One evening they took 3/4th of an hour to prepare a fish curry. The leadership of this property does not seem to be too invested in guest satisfaction, the front desk staff is indifferent and the GR person gets after you to provide good feedback for her on Trip Advisor. There are a few non local employees who appears to be sincerely assisting the guests.

Breakfast was stellar. Staff was courteous and polite but needs more professional training. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfy. Great location.

Room amenities could've been more. Shampoo and soaps seemed not enough for 2 people. Hair dryer was missing. The staff also broke my suitcase and sneakily kept the luggage in my room so I won't notice.

There were Rodents in the room.. AC was not working properly.. I had to call for a fan in the midnight.. there were too many mosquitoes..

Misunderstanding with booking.com and payment proceeding to hotel, which made an unpleasant comment for me with staff.
