the German owner is a perfect host and a gentleman! breakfast is delicious and bird watching incl. humming birds is guaranteed due to decades of feeding the birds near the tables. the view over the huge garden down to the lake is spectacular

Fabulous place, beautiful gardens and wild birds coming to the feeding platform at breakfast, great restaurant, comfortable room, lovely relaxed feel to the place that would have been nice to spend more time, great price for such a good location

Extraordinary way to see birds up close. Eccentric small lodge with spectacular views of Lago Arenal, beautiful gardens and charming outdoor veranda o. which to eat and watch birds up close as owner feeds them fresh fruit from a platform. simply magical spot.

A quaint Bavarian chalet with lush landscapes, European food, birds galore and fabulous vibes. Trails through the woods, a swimming area in a small river, feeding toucans by hand every morning, a very reasonable price for private rooms, an entertaining host. Like stepping into a Wes Anderson film. A true hidden gem.

Some bunk mattresses are a little thin, but double and queen beds are excellent. Showers are timid and luke warm and it gets cold at night, but the overall experience and price make this place a return visit for me.

The view and the birds of all kinds flying around and coming on the porch all day long... amazing!
