We loved the location and the staff- they were so nice and helpful- the food in the restaurant was also very good- the night tour was amazing and the guide was extremely friendly and flexible -

The rooms are very dirty, there are a lot of mosquitos in the rooms and there is no mineral water in the mini bar of the room- this could be such a beautiful place but it needs to be cleaned much better and also a little renovated. As it is a bit off the beaten track I would also recommend to keep the restaurant open a bit longer.

Location was really good, but this is not difficult as tortugero is only 1km long. Breakfast was nice, we liked the eggs being prepared fresh in front of you, however the fruit was uncovered so flies were on it. The bed was comfortable.

After a very long journey getting to Tortugero by boat in a storm, we wanted to be checked in and shown to our room to get comfortable, but instead we were sat down with a rep who proceeded to list all of the activities we should purchase from them. When we told them we had booked our activities already online, we received a shift in energy, the rep was noticeably annoyed and said we wasn’t allowed to have the map of Tortugero that he had initially offered us. This was so awkward. The room was extremely small for the price you pay ($171.86 for 2 nights). There was no glass windows in the bathroom, only a small woven panel, which we found allows mosquitos in, to which we received so many bites through the night. They ask for you to throw your waste paper in the bin rather than flushing down the toilet, which is fine, we therefore expected the bins to be emptied daily and they weren’t, they weren’t emptied for our entire stay. There also was no hot water in the shower, so we had cold showers for 2 days.

Location, location, location! Right on the beach! I could hear the waves from my room and see the ocean from my porch. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was exceptional. The cook needs to be acknowledged for his accomplishments. The pool was refreshing and clean.

The reason I gave this 4 stars was because as a budget Solo person, I booked the single room. It was small but the bed was very comfortable. It was all I needed. Not big enough for two people. There was construction starting at 7:00 above me, but it did not bother me. One of the workers has a beautiful singing voice!

Great location next to the beach. Room was very comfortable and good value. Breakfast was good too plenty to choose from.

Very clean pool Coffee and water always available.

One of our beds was saggy.
