Hygge Siargao

Loved the jungle outside by the pool. The pool does get dirty though with all the plants but we didn‘t mind that much. The host is really nice and so helpful with any questions you have. Location was great. Just a 5min tricycle ride from General Luna and all the restaurants

We booked 3 small cottages and one of them had really low water pressure.

Nice aesthetic, kind and helpful property manager, Comfortable bed, AC + 2 fans. Nice kitchen with complimentary water dispenser.

Shower - barely any pressure. The pool is not being cleaned. The apartment also was not cleaned during our 5 day stay even though it says here that there is daily cleaning (and mind you, the toilet paper goes in the trash bin, which isnt emptied). The road to the hotel is very muddy and it rains a lot so its very hard to reach through mud and huge puddles (this is common on the island, many hostels have similar access) Not cleaned and bug infested AC - stuff falls out of it onto the bed The sofa bed is not comfortable but the master bed is great

We love the vibe at this place. It was our second stay at Hygge and we will definitely be back. Tess who looks after you there is so good. Anything you need she makes it happen and she is so lovely.

There was nothing we didn’t like. The location is amazing.

The pool was appealing, and we love that it gets cleaned every morning. We enjoy our stay overall.

We were not a big fan of the location, and the walk we had to take to get to the property. A muddy stretch pathway to get to the main street which is okay if it’s warmer and the pathways are dry but when it’s raining it gets challenging. Maybe it’d be a good idea to prepare the guests in the future and have this info available to them. The appearance of termites around the house. :(

We liked the villa's layout and design. The size is also big enough for a group of 4 adults and 2 children.

The path to get to the villa gets muddy and flooded when it rains. There is also a rat in the compound that likes to hangout in the villa's living room.

Very good location, quiet but centre, everything was really easy to organize with the host (transfer, scooter etc)

The accommodation is very beautifully landscaped and the architectural details are quite lovely. The pool was nice although the weather wasn’t great so we did not use it very much. We stayed in the two bedroom villa and had lots of room with the two separate seating areas. The AC and fans worked great. There were nice fresh flowers placed in the rooms that really enhanced the feel and decor. Really enjoyed Tess, the manager, and she was helpful in renting a scooter and making some recommendations regarding places to visit.

It was definitely more rustic than I was expecting. The bathroom, for example. It did have very good hot water on demand, but everything else was quite primitive. The kitchen was a little grimy, and it would have been nice to have coffee and some other amenities provided for the price point. It is quite an adventure to get to the resort. A muddy dirt road! It would be good to have clarification on directions in the booking information. This is a more remote area of general Luna and not a lot of variety of restaurants or services walking distance. I think if you were not going to rent a scooter, it would be better to stay closer to where all of the other resorts and restaurants are.
