Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice and cozy place

Bathroom was a bit old and not too clean

Tess (staff) was caring and always available! She was very responsive and shared many recommendations in the area. You can also rent a scooter with her.

There were cockroaches 3/5 nights in the bathroom, the bed was not comfortable and the AC was extremely noisy as the room is on the upper level. The location was hard to find, as there is no sign and the pathway is very dark.

Cozy small house which has a good amount of space for two people

You need to walk along a dark road in the night which does not feel super comfortable. The pool is tiny and hidden between plants so we did not really use it. It gets very loud in the night from animals around and the A/C was an old one so also made a lot of noise and did not work properly. The bed was quite small and not too comfortable. Overall nice stay but did not catch the best sleep due to the given circumstances.

Lots of plants around and inside the place. You can feel nature and the swimming pool is a good add-on. Both the Two-Bedroom Villa and Quadruple Room are comfortable with air conditioning available.

For the price that we paid, you would expect that there's a shower soap at least but amenities are pretty basic. The shower needs repair as it doesn't work very well. There are also cockroaches running around which makes it difficult to leave food outside. And make sure to bring your own internet as my partner was unable to connect to the WIFI (there's only 1 modem for 4 houses) for remote work so we ended up getting mobile data.

Tess is the housekeeper at Hygge and an absolute gem. She was always a call and a text away to answer any questions we may have, and also helped us organise a private land tour and surf instructors. We did a more expensive surf package from across the road thinking it would have a better pedagogy, but save your dollars and go for the surf instructors Tess recommends instead because it's kinda exactly the same at 1/3 the price. Tess makes sure her guests are well taken care of and safe during their stay!

To be honest, the location is not far at all from the main road but it can feel like such a drag getting out on a hot day. Bring a flash light for the walks in the early mornings or after sun sets as the road towards Hygge will be almost pitch black.
