Hotel de Campo Caño Negro

Sehr schöne Zimmer mit separatem Bad und Kühlschrank. Blick in den Garten, viele Vögel, am Abend regelmäßig Klammeraffen. Private Bootstouren zum moderaten Preis. Ich komme einmal im Jahr hierher und werde regelmäßig wiederkommen.

This hotel is set for nature tours to Cano Negro and it does this really well. Andrea was helpful organising our boat trip and knowledgeable and the other staff were really friendly. You are out in the sticks so getting to the hotel is an adventure in itself. Mosquitoes and insects are always close by but you pay to see birds and animals and this is what you get. We sat outside the room and enjoyed watching the monkeys and birds. Food at breakfast was freshly made and good. The evening meal was the same and reasonably priced. We had a fantastic stay and enjoyed every moment. Would recommend to any bird watchers. We got several lifers!

Bed was slightly uncomfortable and it took us a while to get the aircon/fan/ temperature how we wanted but you can get the same in other places.

Alles Top,die Bootstour ist auch sehr zu empfehlen, für Naturluebhaber und Ruhesuchende .

Nichts

Die Lage war super, direkt an der Lagune. Die Bootstouren, die wir in der Regenzeit (September) gebucht hatten, 1 x morgens 4h, einmal nachmittags 3h waren unglaublich schön. Wir haben enorm viele Tiere und Vögel gesehen. Spinnenaffen, Krokodile, Kaimane, Wasservögel, Fledermäuse. Wunderschöne Seerosenbereiche. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Der Pool und der Garten auch nett.

Das Zimmer war Ok, aber etwas abgewohnt und dafür der Preis deutlich zu hoch.

Perfectly situated on the lagoon, this beautiful property is a great place to stay to visit Cano Negro. Really well run with care by Andrea and his team. We were the only guests during low season but I’m sure the experience would be good during peak times. The rooms are air conditioned which is huge in such a humid area. The food served is fantastic, made with fresh ingredients on their farm. The lagoon boat tour was the highlight where we got to see so many birds, reptiles, monkeys. Going during low season allowed us to be one of few people on the lagoon and the river.

The road to get here is really rough and windy but that’s the way it is in rural Costa Rica. Same with the ants and roaches we came across in the room but again, it’s to be expected in rural CR. Make sure to bring enough cash for the rooms, meals, and tours (you’re informed ahead of time).

Heerlijk hotel vlak aan de wetlands, top locatie om een boottocht te maken om vogels te spotten. Zalig ontbijt en heerlijk eten. Andrea is een ideale gastheer. Top adres.

Very good price value ratio. Comfortable little bungalows, great flow-through fresh water swimming pool. We watched the fly catchers hunting the water while lazily drifting in the pool. Nice owners. Excellent private boot tour of +4hrs with experienced guide to watch birds.
