Island Inn at 123 West

Last minute plans to meet boat in marina. Excellent experience. We stayed in Euro 1, a smaller hotel room with great amenities. Customer service is outstanding pre-arrival and during stay. No view but we were there just one night & used the Welcome Room (lounge area) for that. Room is well-appointed. Droll sense of humor in design and info provided. E.g., a shower tile with a "No Diving" logo and some tiles marking the depth of the shower area. Yogurt, granola, beverages in room. Be aware, they warn you and it's true--lots of stairs to the rooms and one step up to bathroom. No issues for us more or less late 70 somethings. No grab bar in the shower. We'd love to stay again!

This is a great place to stay in Friday Harbour. Despite being close to the Ferry and above the Marina, it is surprisingly quiet and private. We stayed in Suite 5, at the top of the building, and had a great view of the harbour. The Suite is essentially an apartment, with an upscale kitchen area, large dining and living space, comfortable bedroom and large bathroom. We could easily have eaten every meal in the suite, as the kitchen was so well equipped. But we chose to eat out - it was a break, after all! However, we had coffee in the room every morning, thier personal blend id delicious! We were on a three-night break and didn't want to leave. A couple of possible negatives: this suite is at the top of a LOT of steps, but you can easily by-pass that if you park in the public parking area between Vinny's restaurant (also excellent) and Friday Harbour House Hotel. Can't speak for the other suites. Second, and this is just personal preference, the waffle towels weren't the best for drying after a shower. But those are small things. And we will definitely come back. I want to give a shout out to THEO, the manager, who was a goldmine of information about the town and the ferry - and a very nice guy.

Stayed in Penthouse 5 for seven nights. It’s more like a condo. Great views of the harbor out the huge windows in the living room. The shower turns into a steam shower (sauna)… really cool. Big full kitchen which we used two of the nights. Cooked fresh local shrimp (still alive), halibut and king salmon. Most of the restaurants and bars are walking distance. The room also comes SOME complimentary OJ, milk, granola, yogurt. We were there over 4th of July and we were able to watch the firework display in the harbor from our deck/balcony. Also, Kind of weird to hype up the hotel next door, but they have an awesome outdoor patio/restaurant/bar with fire pits and a great view of the harbor. But nothing can beat the rooms at the Island Inn, which does not have dinning facilities. Pros: Everything, including Theo and Scott the managers. Cons: the bath towels were a little rough… could be a bit softer.

Amazing room! Everything was perfect! The staff here is really nice and helpful. We came with 3 kids and had plenty of space. Beautiful view and right down town. Bed linens were so cozy and we really enjoyed our stay! We will definitely be returning to this spot again.

Stunning apartment, location, size, and furnishings. We stayed at Penthouse 2 and we loved everything about our stay .

Property was clean, modern, and quiet. Staff were friendly and the location was perfect - close to the water and walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Location was awesome …

Just be ready to climb stairs! other than the steps it wa epic! Great property and felt safe!

All those stairs. But since we were in penhouse 5, we parked in the lot next to the room (although we paid for parking).

Super friendly staff, wonderful room overlooking the water. Close to everything we wanted to see. Much larger than expected. Add a little kitchen and this would make a great apartment! Just went for overnight escape from responsibility.
