Sawrey House

JONATHAN WAS VERY WELCOMING. LOVELY VIEW. BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD TO HAVE A CHOICE OF AN EVENING MEAL OTHER THAN PIZZA OR CHARCUTERIE.

The bed was very hard. If we had said longer than 2 nights, we probably would have gotten used to it. There were a lot of cobwebs and dust, especially above the wardrobes, some of it to be expected as it is a lovely old house with high ceilings.

Everything! Nothing to complain about. Great location, great , views and absolutely lovely place. Food excellent - lovely breakfast. Very clean, lovely comfortable bed. Excellent, attentive service.

Great 1st time stay. Lovely setting. Rooms and Food were great. David a very good host, nothing to much trouble and made me feel very welcome. Will stay again for sure!

Sawrey House is in the most gorgeous quiet location out of Windermere. It has a beautiful garden which can be enjoyed from the courtyard or the various seating areas inside. There’s wonderful food options- I had the afternoon tea and a charcuterie board and both were amazing. The staff were so helpful and it felt like a family stay away from home. I have already recommended this property to my friends.

Poor bar choice of beers as when a hotel says it has a bar you would atleast expect a draft beer not just bottles
