Hotel Villa Paraiso

The hotel is nicely located on the lake. The restaurant was excellent, my chicken skewers were superb and the bar served delicious cocktails.

We both felt that the majority of the staff, with the exception of the bar and restaurant servers, were rather unfriendly. There appears to be a lack of management here, you have to figure out where the local walks and places of interest are yourself, the staff don’t seem to care and there is little or no information at reception or in the room. The rooms could use some hangers as there is nowhere to hang your clothes. I’m glad we visited Ometepe but 2 nights was enough!

A verdant paradise which I've stayed at many times. Terrific food. It has the feeling of a caribbean resort but with a fresh water lake delightful to wade or swim in

We have stayed here in the past. Access to a pool and the beach. The restaurant serves very good food and the staff is very helpful. I’m 68 and my husband is 85 and we find it very comfortable.

Getting to and from the beach and pool involves stairs that are somewhat treacherous. More handrails would be appreciated.

Staff and waiters could have been a little more friendly. The Hotel could have provided information on the ferry to the island and or help book it.
