I am a frequent traveler and Hyatt member, and this was by far one of the most disappointing experiences I have had at any Hyatt property. I had a confirmed reservation for a standard king room and a queen size room. Upon arrival around noon, I was told the room would be ready shortly, but I ended up waiting several hours with no clear updates. Eventually, I was assigned an accessible room instead of the room type I had reserved. I was told there were no other rooms available, yet during the conversation it became clear that other room types did exist but were not offered unless I paid additional fees. The front desk and management interaction was particularly concerning. The communication was dismissive, inconsistent, and at times unprofessional. Rather than attempting to resolve the issue, the manager made assumptions about what I should accept and did not provide a reasonable solution. I ultimately accepted the room only because I had no other option after waiting for hours with my family. This experience significantly disrupted our stay and does not reflect the level of service I expect from Hyatt. I have opened a formal case with Hyatt corporate and hope they will address this situation appropriately. I would not recommend this property based on this experience

My stay at Hyatt Place St. Augustine / Vilano Beach was disappointing and did not meet expectations. The portable AC unit in my room had a strong moldy smell, which made the room uncomfortable. Cleanliness and maintenance clearly need improvement. Additionally, the Wi-Fi did not work at all, and cell phone reception was extremely poor, making it difficult to stay connected. This was especially frustrating since reliable internet is a basic expectation when traveling. I was also disappointed that my balcony overlooked a parking lot, which was not what I anticipated when booking. Overall, improvements in room conditions, maintenance, and connectivity are needed to provide a better guest experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place St. Augustine Vilano Beach! The staff was incredibly friendly, and check-in was quick and effortless. The housekeeping team was so kind and left our room spotless every single time. Overall, such a positive experience—we’ll definitely be back!
