Mason's Arms

The views were amazing. Staff friendly as was everyone in the bar. Food good and standard lake district prices. Ample parking. Having a roaring fire was very nice.

There wasn't anything to dislike.

The food did not reflect the pub accommodation itself. Menu was dated and could be a bit more refined in its cooking.

Location. Rooms. Lovely atmosphere. Food and drink were all good . Great to have own kitchen

No hot water when we arrived (and staff were unaware). Was sorted out - but meant no shower, etc for sometime.

Stunning location and bustling atmosphere. Staff coped great when busy, and were so helpful regarding dinner arrangements. Loved the food and beer and can see why this is highly recommended. The room was exceptional, really well fitted, decorated, superbly kept and presented and incredibly comfy bed too!

Parking was overcrowded as we arrived at a busy time, but settled down and was resolved with some patience. We had a little misfortune at our breakfast, a family table were particularly noisy throughout and this coupled with staff rattling around made it a slightly awkward atmosphere, and there was heavy cloud so there wasn't the usual view to distract- but was spectacular the night before and good food, thats the way the cookie crumbles.
