Very noisy in our room due to "music" from a sound system downstairs in the bar... ...both the nights we stayed

Not much to be fair having spent the last 3 years at the same location, same event/time of year

Was given a deluxe room because it had a bath, shower was dreadful, staff couldn’t sort a remote out to match the TV, breakfast non existent, no appreciation of the guests needs just a load of waffle to sound correct and excuses. Didn’t spend a penny in the bar that I would have done.

We stayed at The Greyhound over the Christmas while visiting family in the village. It was ideal for what we wanted, and the staff were really helpful and welcoming.

Staff were pleasant and cheerful. It’s a great location, lovely old building, authentic Wood beams in the bedroom. Restaurant and food are good, and the bar area is nice.

The rooms were generally in need of significant maintenance, not particularly clean (dusty, toilet seats were dirty on arrival), kettle but no coffee. Main issue was that because this is an old building, there is no sound insulation from downstairs, so we heard every sound in the busy pub including football, TV, cheering, until closure. There were also people cleaning and talking through till 2 am, which was clearly audible from the bedroom. Not a place for a good night sleep.
