OYO The Greyhound Inn

Location I love, plenty of shops , the style and tutor of hotel is lovely pub lovely and quaint , food smelt delicious , very quiet at night in room which was a bonus, only let down was standard of cleaning it was very very poor floor was not hoovered bathroom floor not hoovered or mopped sticky stain on floor in bathroom toilet not cleaned bathroom very poor standard, ledge outside windows full of leaves and brambles would take 5 Minutes to clear it up , beautiful hotel but very disappointed with the lack of cleaning . Bed very comfy but the dust that came off it not acceptable.

The food and choice is excellent and the staff in the restaurant very attentive. Curry was excellent.

I booked a Deluxe Double but was put in a Standard Double! This was not what I was expecting but assume they had double booked, no reason given. Drinks were good, they had Mulled Wine on the bar, we tried a glass at the end of the evening, it was £12 .. luke warm and tasteless, bottom of the cold pot! Shame really. More care needed.

As an evening venue the pub was nice with friendly staff.

Requested a room with a bathtub and was told it was approved but the room didn’t have a bathtub. No possibility of changing room due to undisclosed on going works in the other rooms. The door to the building was left propped open for workers access overnight. Didn’t feel particularly safe with that. The couple in the room next door were vigorously enjoying a night away (if you get my drift) and there were no other rooms to swap to available. Asked the manager to politely ask them (gone 1am) to keep it down but he refused to help so had to do it myself just to get some sleep. Very thin walls. Would likely not stay again.

2 x Twin Rooms Booked, A water Leak Caused 2 Male Collogues to Share A Double. lucky my staff Didn't go home

Our room was lovely and warm with original features like old beams, and fireplace and quirky floor and creaks that just ooze of history and past lives. There's nothing dull about the Greyhound!! 😆. We took our own coffee pods and enjoyed using the Nespresso machine☕☕ daily. The staff here are Wonderful, and the food was Fantastic😋 Venus and his team should be Commended. Top Notch Service🌟

The rooms were dirty the staff especially manager with extremely rude and confrontational to other guests also we booked to stay there for one night but end up leaving straight away and check it into a different hotel booking.com will not give us a refund as they said it was up to the property
