The Lime Tree Inn

Lime Tree Inn is a relatively new property which has been cleverly designed to create the atmosphere of a cosy country pub. It centres around a large bar and fireplace with a dining room to one side and more casual eating area to the other, suitable for customers with dogs. The food was exceptional. We wish to congratulate the owner/chef who is creating a special offering. They grow their own food, use local produce and the bread, butter and jams are all made in house. Fabulous.

Asked for twin but hotel had to change beds. But very willingly done and no problem at all. Very accomadating for dogs. Comfy dog beds!

The staff were very friendly & helpful & very good with our dog. The dinner was delicious & the breakfast amazing with lots on the menu & a good choice. The bar was lovely atmosphere & cosy. The young barman was really nice & had a great chat with us. Also the price was very reasonable for what you got, definitely go back when we're visiting York.

Shower didn't work in the morning. Lady said if more people using shower ,then there is no water ? Don't think that's good enough fir a top hotel. Not these days .

Quiet location, clean, you can open the window and not have any restrictions (Fresh air, not AC). Breakfast sublime. Will be back
