Lovely place

Lacked storage in rooms no drawers and only a little cupboard

Beautiful peaceful setting just 8 miles outside of York. The Inn is tastefully decorated with spacious rooms. Staff are very friendly and accommodating Finally the food is 5 star standards

The fact I only booked for 1 night and had to leave

A very rural location, plenty of parking and easy access to the Inn, Accessability is excellent with a lift to the accommodation level. The service both in the bar and dining room was esxcellent. The served breakfast instead of a buffet was much appreciated The standard of the food is simply superior, absolute serendipity for such a remote location.

Don't arrive too early !! The Inn does not open until 15.00 hrs, information which is good to know !!

Location is good,not far from the A1 in a peaceful village. Dinner menu features local produce and is well presented and delicious . Staff are friendly and service was excellent. Bed comfortable, high quality bed linen. Room size is larger than average with separate bathroom and wc.

The evening meal was superb.

the quality of the breakfast was very good although rather small

there were no hand towels in the bathroom and only one coat hanger in the wardrobe. There were no hooks in either the bathroom or bed rom to hang up coats or washbags.
