It was my friends and mine 3rd visit to this property, and everytime they tend to be amazing everytime. Specially the host at the property was very welcoming and took care of things exceptionally. All mods of transportation is conveniently available to reach the property which makes it hassle free travellers. Would highly recommend as a stay option for friends, families and solo travellers. I’m so glad I chose to stay at hotel Crescent. Sameer and his team were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive. I particularly loved the room - it was bright and spacious with lovely views. The location was perfect for me - quiet but close to the main area.

Hotel Crescent is an exceptional family run hotel. From the first communications with Sameer - the manager, I knew I had chosen the right place to stay. He arranged pick up from the airport and was waiting for me on the main road to carry my bag to the hotel! The hotel is situated on the banks of the lake, but on a quieter road. There are many local families that live here, and it’s lovely seeing the children playing games on the street. The nearby busier area of the lake - ghat number 1 - is only a 5 minute walk, but it’s super busy and only hotels and Shikara (boat) ride sellers are there. This location is perfect as it’s away from traffic (no cars near the hotel) and therefore away from noise too. All you hear are the peaceful birds and calls to prayer. The rooms are beautiful - big, spacious and clean which is the most important thing for me. Although no AC, the fan is more than enough for the hot august weather, so don’t let that put you off. Bathrooms are great, hot water 24/7 and towels, toiletries etc all provided. Even slippers! I got a free room upgrade too, but both rooms have fabulous views overlooking the river. You can see the Shikaras and local fishermen rowing past throughout the day. The menu for the hotel is amazing, available whenever you want anything, and freshly cooked to order by his family who live behind the hotel. There are lots of things to do here in Srinagar and it can be quite overwhelming, but Sameer was amazing at helping me plan some activities etc. He is very knowledgeable about the best things to do and has a lot of contacts. You can just sit back and relax and let him sort everything out. He even drove me to a few places himself which was very kind. I did 2 shikara rides through him with Altaf, who is a wonderful man. It was more like a tour - we had great conversation and I learned a lot from him about local life and culture. Stay here - you won’t regret it! I will definitely be returning for my next trip!

It was our 2nd time that we rebooked this property to stay in Srinagar. Smooth Check In while picking us from Ghat No 1 till Hotel Crescent. A free Shutter service Shikara was provided especially for our Check In & Check Out which was really helpful as we were travelling with huge luggages in Kashmir. As usual rooms were quite clean, spacious and presentable. It’s a best property located on the bank of Dal Lake. We had the best experience here. The staff is really helpful. I highly recommend this place for it's Impeccable Service & Hospitality. So, overall it's a great stay not only because of the location, service and view but also because of the personal care and attention provided by the staff at the hotel. It was really commendable and will definitely make me visit there third time.

Our stay at the Hotel Crescent on Dal Lake was nothing short of magical. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning location and the serene beauty of the lake surrounded by majestic mountains. The hotel had a beautifully decorated rooms with spacious tidy washrooms. Room was spacious, immaculately clean, and offered breathtaking views of the lake and mountain. The service we received was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always attentive, friendly, and ready to assist with any request. The cooked meals served In Room Dinning were delicious and gave us a true taste of local Kashmiri cuisine. What truly set this experience apart were the little touches and the attention to detail. From the cozy decor to the thoughtful amenities provided, everything was designed to make us feel good. The hotel’s surroundings were equally impressive. We enjoyed leisurely shikara rides, exploring the local markets, and simply relaxing in the room, taking in the peaceful ambiance and stunning sunrise over Dal Lake. In summary, this hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic local experience. The beautiful rooms, excellent location, outstanding service, and wonderful staff made our stay truly unforgettable. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and serene getaway on Dal Lake.

Nothing. Horrible experience.

Very shabby. Booked for 2 nights, but checked out after 1 night as it was impossible to stay. I lost 1 night money. There was no approach road. Had to walk with luggage. Reception locked in night. No one was available. Wifi switched off in night. It is not a hotel at all. There was no name board of the so calked hotel. Recommend booking.com to remove from panel. He charged 4000 per night, but it is not even worth 500.

Actually the staff and owner mr sameer was excellent i n every matter be it service or any type of help only the location was not easily approachable as because it was dal gate ,taxis or autos are not easily coming at this point otherwise view wise ,staff wise everything was ok and mr sameer the hotel owner was ver very helpful he has arranged all the packages for our,the service can be better if they can provide shikara person with shikara every time to cross dal lake

Approach of the hotel by road otherwise everything was good

No lift facility making it difficult for elderly people. No card machine. Only cash or UPI payments Powercuts are a problem but backup makes up for it. Lot of outside noise of dogs. They should have sound proof windows.
