Clean, tidy, great food, great service

Light fixture was to low hanging from the ceiling prob about 5:9 off the floor so banged my head a couple of times, bedside lights didn’t work and tv picture quality was poor

Excellent location for north Brighton and accessible from A27. Plenty of parking for hotel guests. The room was good. The bathroom and shower were very clean. The guest WIFI was good.

The À la carte "continental" breakfast was very basic and overpriced for what you get. A choice of a single small box of cereal or porridge delivered with pastry, muffin and a slice of toast. Fruit was a golden delicious apple with not other choice... There was a small pot of natural yoghurt included. There was no self service and no choice of fresh or tinned fruits. No choice of breads or ham / cheese and other foods you'd expect. The other cooked breakfast options varied in quality and presentation between days. The smoked salmon option was nice. The Service felt understaffed and slow - the fault of management not the waitress who worked hard to keep on top of everything whilst also running reception for guests checking in and out. Mattress was ok but definitely not as comfortable as a Hypnos noted on the website.

No reception area had to talk in the middle of the restaurant and we weren’t given a warm welcome moody unhelpful staff except the night staff was so helpful

Location, comfortable and helpful staff.

Large step up into bathroom in the bedroom was tricky particularly for an elderly person. Breakfast menu could be more varied.
