Loch Rannoch Hotel and Spa

Prachtige ligging aan een meer, statig oud (gerenoveerd) hotel met wellness. Zeer goede pubfood.

Prachtig, maar zeer afgelegen gebied, 40 minuten rijden naar de dichtste dorpen Aberfeldy en Pitlochry. Wellness gebied enigszins verouderd.

Most incredible setting, beautiful accomodations, kind and hospitable hosts. The spa was lovely.

A lovely hotel, everything was top notch. The food in both the Bistro and the Restaurant was very good, what makes this hotel exceptional however is the staff. There are lots of them and everyone was helpful and obliging but I would like to mention Alannah who really went the extra mile. We had a couple of glitches one when our room was not made up but this was quickly rectified and we were given complimentary tea in the lounge while we waited. It is a mark of a great hotel that if something goes wrong they put it right very quickly.

It is not just this hotel but it seems to be a modern trend that hotel rooms are decorated in dark colours and there is not enough light. Our room was dark green and only had bedside lights plus one very yellow light near a window. I found it impossible to read in bed and we had to sit by the window to read the papers. A decent reading lamp or more lights would be helpful.

De kamer. De kamer die we geboekt hadden was mooi, groot en had een zeer mooie net gerenoveerde badkamer met een inloopdouche. Echter een probleem, een van de twee verwarmingselementen was kapot en loeiheet. Het leek wel een sauna in de kamer. Dit aangegeven bij de receptie. Veel gepuzzel, na overleg met de manager zouden we een kosteloze upgrade krijgen. Dit was een grote teleurstelling. Het was een kleinere familiekamer met een extra eenpersoonsbed, die we niet nodig hebben en veel plaats inneemt. De badkamer is gedateerd. Schimmelplekken op de vloer. geen inloopdouche, maar douchen in de badkuip. Al met al geen upgrade, maar een downgrade. We hebben dit ook aangeven bij de receptie, maar er was niets mogelijk. We mochten blij zijn dat we inde ‘geüpgrade’ familiekamer mochten slapen. Ook bij de vraag, waarom een monteur niet de verwarming kon repareren, kregen we een ontwijkend antwoord. Er was weinig begrip voor ons. Al met al een zeer teleurstellende ervaring. Ik heb dit tijdens mijn verblijf ook via berichten bij Booking gemeld. Maar daar heb ik helaas geen reactie op gekregen.

The staff were excellent, as was the gym and the steam room. The location is also stunning.

The restuarant menu was very limited. The food was average pub grub & overpriced.

The room was so quiet and the bath was lovely. The breakfast was great quality, really filled us up. Everything was really great. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was lovely. Enjoyed the pool, sauna and steam room. Would definitely recommend.

Would have liked some hand cream in the bathrooms, but other than that, no complaints.

Es ist sehr authentisch und traditionell; es strahlt einen besonderen Charme aus, auch wenn etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich. Die Parksituation war sehr komfortabel. Schöner Blick auf den See.

Der Spa Bereich ist separat und etwas abgelegen. Sie müssen sich dort umziehen. Die Damenumkleide hatte keine Toilette zu diesem Zeitpunkt. Alles sehr alt und klein. Man muss nach zusätzlichen Handtüchern für die Sauna extra fragen. Es gibt keine Bademäntel. Die Sauna hatte nur 60 Grad.

Location is fantastic, lovely staff on the whole although some were a little inexperienced, really comfortabe bed and great loch views, nice to be able to usr the swimming pool. Food in the bar was really good.

The buffet breakfast was ok but not the quality you might expect from a 4 star hotel and the plates for the hot food were far to small.
