Loch Rannoch Hotel and Spa

Wir waren 10 Tage in Schottland. Das war das beste Hotel von allen. War aber auch eines der teueren. Alles in allem stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Stunning location; great service and lovely food

Big bedroom with great views over the loch, comfortable bed and chairs. Well stocked with tea, coffee, water etc. Bathroom & bedroom very clean. Lovely pool & spa although a little uncared for (see below). Staff generally helpful and friendly.

1. Very poor selection of fruit at breakfast - there were only slices of melon & orange. Some tinned mandarins/grapefruit or a compote would add some variety maybe a few UK strawberries as it was June? 2. On a couple of occasions staff were having a loud private conversation in the hotel reception area which could be overheard by guests sitting in the lounge and was inappropriate. 3. The Spa could be better cared for, eg the gents toilet floor was flooded, the ladies toilet was out of order which accept happens sometime but no one explained this on arrival at spa reception and also there were broken key fobs on the floor in the ladies changing area giving an overall “uncared for” feeling. 4. When I asked for a slice of bread to accompany a salad I was told there’s a bread board but I didn’t want that much bread but the waitress couldn’t do anything about it as “there no button on the till” for a small portion! (Not very good customer service)

Staff at the restaurants - dismissive younger staff who was busy with running errands rather than welcome costumers and making faces ?Spanish waitress, who refused to give us choice of seat even though we were second couple there and no other tables, which were the same size were reserved. After being seated needed to wait for at least 10 minutes to order drinks. Very long waiting time for food, where there was only us and another table taken. Overall, it felt like we are not the guests but a burden to even attend restaurant. This was first time that we had been treated like that by 'good' hotel. Staff members during breakfast were better but it was so chaotic and they could not keep up with cleaning tables and serving guests. There were no available dishes, needed to wait for 10 min to get a bowl. Coffees and teas were made by staff, which was a joke as you needed to ask them few times. At least those young folks were polite and trying but very stressed. Clearly a fault of poor management, which should be sorted. Rooms okay but required maintenance Our car got dented at hotel parking No path to walk around lake, just main street. At least there could be better paths around hotel grounds. Too expensive for what it is, we paid 230£ per night and it should cost 100£ for what it was.

Amazing breakfast with a lovely team of staff who were very efficient. Dinner was delicious each night We highly rate this property and every member of staff who were super friendly. There is not drive past the hotel to Rannoch Station is well worth the effort

Hotel was very clean and room was delightful, very well furnished. The staff were excellent, everyone had a lovely manner and very friendly. Food was fantastic!

Everything, staff were very friendly, location perfect and the Spa facilities were great.

There wasn't enough staff at night , especially at the bar but, this problem isnt exclusive to this hotel . The staff who were on duty were great , especially the girl that ran the bars and managed the restaurants

Location, staff and food

Breakfast was poor. As before booking with Booking.com, many hotels appear to place the clients in the worst and more far away room. The timeshare to both sides of the hotel brings down the look of the hotel and they are a tatty, from the outside at least.

We hebben hier een hele leuke tijd gehad met de kinderen. Het is een eenvoudig zwembad, maar ruim en rustig! Lekkere sauna. De overige spa arrangementen moet je appart boeken, dat hebben we niet gedaan. In de omgeving kun je kanoën, boogschieten, er is een enorme speelkamer in het hotel. Super goed gegeten in het restaurant. Erg vriendelijk personeel. De hele sfeer is erg Schots en een beetje ouderwets, heel sfeervol.
