Marboka Hotel & Suites

Loved the location of this hotel. It's on the most gorgeous beach with perfectly clear warm water, protected by rocks so not too big of waves. Lovely restaurant on the beach which has an incredible menu and for very reasonable rates. The hotel staff at Markakoba are very friendly and personable. The rooms are large and spacious and it is LOVELY to hear the sound of the waves from your bedroom where the windows open.

Our room was a little outdated, so we paid to upgrade to a different one. The beach is lovely, but is mainly taken over by lawn chairs for the hotel next door. The marakoba only has a couple of chairs and you have to find staff to bring them down each day. It's not a deal breaker, but it would be much better if they had a little section set up for this hotel. I loved hearing the sound of the waves from our room. But I did find it a little bit noisy at this hotel since there are a lot of cars that speed by on the highway. Not a big deal, but if you're a light sleeper pack earplugs.

Staff was very welcoming and property was nice. Great view from the balcony and jacuzzi at the balcony overlooking ocean was refreshing. The bus stop was right in-front of the hotel which was convenient.

The locks in both the main and balcony door were faulty. Needed extra efforts to lock which was not very convenient. Basic amenities could have been better with the price we paid like providing extra towels, few bottles of water, at least few coffee sachets etc. The bathroom didn’t have even a tissue paper holder which was not convenient at all. The authorities should think about making it better and at least providing some basic amenities to their guests.

Great Place to stay! This was our first time to the area. the room was great, exactly how it was described and pictured. The staff were all so friendly and helpful with any needs and questions about the area. The food and drinks from the restaurant were amazing while looking at the great view of the water. We really enjoyed our time there, relaxing poolside,at the beach or on our balcony.

Price, views and value for your money is unbeatable. Restaurant La Playita was a pleasant little surprise- we had great breakfast there.

Beach access is super strange and we constantly were unsure of how to get chairs on the beach. Mostly settled on dropping our stuff on the ground and running into the ocean. We saw beach chairs that seemed to belong to thebproperty on the way down the stairs to the beach. These chairs were never put on the beach and were always locked up. Didn’t make much sense to us with how nice of a beach they have there. Tide is low enough to use the beach after noon which worked fine for me and my husband but might be an issue for others.

The location is Awesome! Hospitality here is Fantastic! We had Dinner at the bottom of the Hotel in front of the beach.

there are no ELEVATORS in the hotel.

This place was just as described and better views then you could imagine. Would highly recommend and would look forward to coming back in the future to the area just because of the stay. Great little getaways and coming back to a comfortable spot makes this a true vacation spot.
