Narayan Niwas Castle

One of the best and absolutely unique option in Shekhawati region... Kachchva family castle with charming atmosphere and very hospitable hosts!! It is very big chance that the whole castle will be just for your own!!

Uncomfortable in cold weather—I would love to return another season

Although we didn’t stay there, we spent a lot of time looking around the castle. It certainly is a castle and the rooms are of the period. Toilets are outside and hot water brought to you in a bucket when required. Found it a fascinating property but could not bring ourselves to stay in the cold, damp rooms. The access stairs were difficult and challenging for older persons.

We liked everything we saw but could not stay in such a cold and damp environment.

It’s a castle - what’s not to like? Great views and an amazing building.

The breakfast was adequate and we were pleasantly surprise with the unlimited servings though we would have preferred a slight more options.

At the time of booking if the property would love intimated about the cost of meals that would have been awesome still the sumptuous food, the warm and friendly hosts and the proper sit-down table service was a hoot.

It’s an historic monument that has been in the family for 7 generations and the owners are the kindest sweetest folk you can imagine, as are their devoted staff. Nothing is too much. The views from the main tower are spectacular. We are both artists and found many quiet places to sit and work. The food is not just some of the best in India but the best I’ve ever had. Bravi all round! It was our second stay ( for 11 days ) and we feel part of the family.

There’s nighttime music from local temples which can disturb your sleep.

An amazing heritage building with very warm and welcoming resident family management and staff. Fabulous atmosphere, excellent dinner and good breakfast. Rooms furnished like a museum but still quite comfortable. Owner was really helpful re local sightseeing and organising of guides. Highly recommended for a true local experience.

Lots and lots of steps! So best to avoid if you can’t manage steep steps and low doorways.

The gentleman owner and his family welcomed us with tea and were so friendly. His two staff were very attentive and loveky towards our daughters
