The Syntopia Hotel - Adults Only

The nicest staff we ever had at a hotel. From the concierge, to the pool waitress, to the lady at the kanteen. All super friendly. Everything is clean and maintained and designed beautifully. One of the best hotels we've been to.

The "all inclusive" option is basically "mostly inclusive because it doesnt include everything. The snacks options were very limited. Breakfast didn't have enough variety.

Amazing hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Always asking if we need something or if everything is okay. There was plenty of options at breakast, lunch and dinner and food quality was top notch! Rooms were clean and beautiful. Bed was great! Slept so well my whole stay there. Whole hotel had unique atmosphere and decor. Beach close in walking distance. We will be back here for sure!

Location was a bit far a way from Rethymno. This was not issue for us though because we had car rented and theres taxi stop outside of the hotel.

The all inclusive food was spectacular, especially Greek Night! The servers were very friendly and picking up dirty plates and refilling drinks promptly.

Possibly the parking. That is the only inconvenience we had.

Very nice, clean hotel in a quieter part of Rethmyno. Staff was great and friendly. Food and drinks were also great. They have 3 nice pools and the rooms were bigger and more comfortable compared to other European hotels. Would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family. If you don't want to eat at their restaurant, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Only complaint would be lighting in the bathroom and shower area. It is a bit dim. The rest of the room has plenty of light sources.

The hotel is beautiful. It really does take you to your own little paradise. Everything is easy to find and there’s plenty of great facilities. The hotel rooms were a great size and had everything you needed including a free minibar. Towels for the pool were available, the sunbeds were beautiful overlooking the pools (there are three beautiful pools!). The restaurant serves amazing food and the staff were so amazing and friendly

The only even tiny con about this hotel is the location. It is on the other side of the road from the beach so is blocked by a large hotel which means you can only see the sea from The hotel if you are on the top floor, however, the beach is only a very short walk away

The hotel is very beautiful and modern design. It has a large pool in front of the main building and also a heated pool in front of the annex. The rooms are very clean and also modern designed. The beds are very comfortable.

However, the hotel is at least an hour and a half away from both airports and the village in which it is located offers absolutely nothing. Leaving the hotel, in our view, you can not do much more than go to Rethymno, which was a nice place after all. The beach was not bad but not fantastic either and you had to walk there for about 5-10 minutes. Our biggest criticism was the hotel staff, it is not to be expressed in general terms but surprisingly many staff seemed unmotivated, dissatisfied and above all they were unfriendly. They simply did not have the flexibility to push 2 tables together for a family and insisted on their stubborn heads. The hefty price doesn't really justify itself, the rooms were very nice and quaint but lacked in many areas. For example, there were also far too few sunbeds at the pool so that perhaps half of the hotel could occupy one.
